Prince of Peace will be participating in the Faith n Blue Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 10, noon to 3 pm. Help us pass out treats at this event. Dress up. Bring the grandkids. Make it a fun family event as we greet n meet those in our community and those who serve to protect us. Donations of wrapped candy/snacks will be a shared blessing!

The shoeboxes have arrived! Samaritan Purse will use these filled boxes to reach children around the world with the love of Jesus. We are still collecting “wow” items such as a doll, or balls or stuffed animals to bless these children. Have any Beanie Babies around? Perfect for a shoebox. Remember the ages 2-4, 5-9, 10-14 yrs old and the joy of opening a box! Donations can be placed in the trunk in the narthex. Thanks!

Our next Little Disciples get together will be on October 19 at 9:30am here at Prince of Peace. Talk with Pastor Hinojosa if you have any questions or would like more information about this group!

Pastor Appreciation Sunday is October 11th. Your attendance at worship and Bible Study/ Sunday School is requested. A pastor’s job is to lead worship, teach God’s Word, administer the sacraments and help make more disciples. Your presence is a gift. Prayer for him and his family is a gift. A note or card of appreciation is a gift. Choose one or all.

Help support the ministry of  AWPC by attending their fall fundraising banquet coming up on October 22. Tickets are $60 in advance and can be purchased through the center and online. It will be a night of fellowship and hearing how God is working through this center. Hear testimonies from clients and the babies that are saved. Buy your ticket now and pray for this event. This year’s featured speaker is Dr. Mark Newman, Pro-life advocate. They would like reservations made for this event by October 8th. Get yours and support this ministry!

Moms of Faith at Christ Our Savior - Calling all moms! Moms of Faith is back for the fall semester! Our meetings run September-May, every other Tuesday from 9:30-11am beginning September 22. Our study this semester is "The Five Love Languages of Children." Please join us for connection, fun, and fellowship! October 23—Forever Young: Dakota Inn The Forever Young group is going to celebrate Oktoberfest at the Dakota Inn (17324 John R St, Detroit)! On Friday, October 23 the group will leave COS by bus at 5pm and arrive back at 9pm. The bus ticket is $13/person for round trip transportation from Christ Our Savior.
