We continue our collection of items needed for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. A list is posted on the welcome center counter for ideas with each category: wow item, personal care, toys, school supplies, clothing & accessories along with restrictions of what cannot be included. Any questions, talk with Elaine Echols. Happy shopping as you remember the smiles this will bring.
We are looking for a Sunday School helper – are you able to assist our Sunday School teacher and/or serve as a substitute teacher? Please let Pastor Hinojosa know if you are willing to serve in this ministry. We want to be sure we have enough hands to help and have someone to cover if our teacher is absent!
Sign up this week! For our Family Fall Festival Picnic on September 13 following worship. We are going to be kicking off the return of Sunday school in a big way! We encourage you to share this fun and festive day full of great food and warm fellowship. If you can bring a side or dessert to share please sign up in the narthex this morning. We are providing the protein! All are welcome!
Our next Little Disciples get together will be on Monday, September 14th at 9:30am Parents and children will be gathering at the home of Sharon and Chris Moses for a fun morning of apple picking and baking! It is sure to be a great day learning about God’s blessings and bounty! Talk with Pastor Hinojosa if you have any questions about joining this group!
September Movie Night is on the calendar! Join us on Friday, September 25 at 5pm for the movie: Ordinary Angels- This movie is inspired by the true story of a hairdresser who rallies an entire community to help a father save the life of his critically ill daughter. Join us for this great movie and enjoy the added bonus of a pizza dinner and great friends! All are welcome!
September office hour change- Please note a change in the month of September for our office manager- Laura will be shifting her three office days for two weeks in September. Please note she will be in the office Monday to Wednesday, September 14-16 and Wednesday to Friday, September 23-25.

Sunday, September 27—Forever Young sees Farmington Players: Forever Young will be headed to the Farmington Players playhouse (32332 West Twelve Mile Rd Farmington Hills) to watch the 2pm play "The Haunting of Hill House"—"A chilling and mystifying study in mounting terror in which a small group of “psychically receptive" people are brought together in Hill House, a brooding, mid-Victorian mansion known as a place of evil and “contained ill will." Christ Our Savior is hosting GriefShare- Are you, or do you know someone who is in need of some extra care through their grief journey?
